Abraham George
Abraham George serves as the Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, bringing years of grassroots activism and leadership experience to the role. Born in Kerala, India, Abraham legally immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 16, seeking greater opportunities. As a first-generation American, he embraced conservative values and recognized the Republican Party as a champion of individual liberty, economic freedom, and traditional principles.
Abraham’s political journey began when he prepared to vote in the 2008 presidential election and realized that minority communities were often expected to align with the Democratic Party. Disagreeing with Obama’s policies, he sought ways to get involved with the Republican Party. He began volunteering at the Dallas County GOP headquarters, where he developed block- walking skills and helped generate grassroots support for Republican candidates in the county.
In 2011, Abraham moved to Collin County and continued his service by joining local Republican and conservative organizations. He served on the board of the Collin County Conservative Republicans for two years, chaired the credentials committee for the 2020 Precinct and Senate District Conventions, and later became vice chair of the Collin County Republican Party. At the 2020 State Convention, he was elected to the State Republican Executive Committee. In 2021, he was elected Chairman of the Collin County GOP and won re-election unopposed in 2022.
His leadership and deep commitment to conservative principles made him the clear choice for state party leadership. In May 2024, Abraham was elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas at the state convention, succeeding Matt Rinaldi. As Chairman, he continues to focus on strengthening the party’s grassroots movement, protecting conservative values, and ensuring Republican victories across Texas.
In addition to his political work, Abraham is a successful entrepreneur in the information technology sector. He holds an MBA from the University of North Texas and has built a career in business and leadership. He and his wife, Jeena, a registered nurse, reside in Parker, Texas, with their two children attending the Plano Independent School District.
